In October 2022, I set out to the Faroe Islands and Iceland with a talented group of friends to shoot a two-part project for Canon USA. My role was to shoot photo and video for the Canon EOS R6 Mark II launch campaign as well as assist in principle cinematography on our short film Far From Home, directed by the project lead and dear friend of mine, Sam Newton.

On our way there, we got to spend a day in Oslo which was special for me having originated from Norwegian roots. After a day of exploring the city, we flew to the Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic. Sam and I met up with our team which consisted of Luke Jackson-Clark, Keenan Lam, and Giulia Gartner. It was so good to see them and explore this mystical place.

We traveled from island to island along the beautiful coastal highways and through underwater passageways. Each location seemed to have its’ own natural wonder. My favorite location is pictured above, where a lake meets the ocean. We stayed far from the cliffside as we battled 60mph winds to get the shot. It certainly was one of those glorious moments where truly feel the powerful force of mother nature.
